The insights that emerge from the article are interesting for both Lego fans and investors. Below we present you the top 10 most sold Lego sets of 2024.

1. Lego® Star Wars 75319 The Armorer’s Mandalorian Forge

The Lego® Star Wars 75319 The Armorer’s Mandalorian Forge is by far the best-selling Lego set in 2024. The Mandalorian Forge went EOL (End of Life, Engl. production end of a Lego set) in December 2022 and has already more than doubled in value after a short time.

The original of the set RRP was $29,99. At the current time, the set is sold at prices of about $63, which corresponds to a percentage increase in value of over 110% and this within half a year.

The popularity of the set can be attributed to the exclusive minifigures included, which together are worth almost double the RRP.

We have listed other interesting Lego Star Wars investment sets for 2023 in a separate article.

2. Lego® Star Wars 75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers

In second place of the most sold Lego® sets in 2024 is the Lego Star Wars 75280 501st Legion Clone Troopers. The set was sold about ⅓ fewer times in total than the Mandalorian Forge, which takes first place.

This set also retired at the end of 2022 and was occasionally on sale for under $18. The high number of sales for this set can be attributed to its rapid value growth, which is also related to the exclusive minifigures included.

3. Lego® Speed Champions 76897 1985 Audi Sport quattro S1

Also frequently sold was the Lego® Speed Champions 76897 1985 Audi Sport quattro S1. The gap to the second most sold Lego set in 2024 is about ⅓.

Unlike the previously listed sets, the Speed Champions retired in December 2021, a year earlier.

On the one hand, the many sales and the associated popularity of the set can be attributed to the iconic and faithfully reproduced Audi Sport quattro S1, which did not exist in this form before. On the other hand, this Speed Champion is one of the first models to have a width of eight studs instead of the usual six studs.

4. Lego® Star Wars 75276 Stormtrooper Helmet

In fourth place among the most sold Lego® sets in 2024 is the Lego Star Wars 75276 Stormtrooper Helmet, another set from the Star Wars theme.

The Stormtrooper Helmet is part of the Helmet Collection popular among Lego and Star Wars fans. The set retired at the end of 2021, many Brickfact users took this as an opportunity to sell the Stormtrooper Helmet for a profit.

The increase in value at the RRP of $59,99 is about 129%, this corresponds to an annual return of about 34%.

5. Lego® Star Wars 40558 Clone Trooper Command Station

The Lego® Star Wars 40558 Clone Trooper Command Station has also been sold frequently in 2023 and is only just behind the previously mentioned Stormtrooper helmet. The Clone Trooper Command Station was available on the market for just under 12 months and retired at the end of 2022.

As a Battle Pack, the set is especially useful for those who want to build a Clone Trooper army and consequently need many Clone Troopers.

Of the three minifigures included in the Battle Pack, two are exclusive. In total, the minifigures have a total value of $21.70, which is about 145% of the RRP.

6. Lego® Star Wars 75267 Mandalorian Battle Pack

In the sixth place of the most sold Lego® sets in 2024 is also a Battle Pack. The Lego Star Wars 75267 Mandalorian Battle Pack already retired at the end of 2021.

The reasons for its popularity are similar to the previously mentioned Battle Pack, so Battle Packs are a cost-effective option to buy as many minifigures as possible. Of the four minifigures included in the set, three are exclusive.

Normally, Lego sets with many minifigures are usually much more expensive. The Mandalorian Battle Pack, on the other hand, had an RRP of $14.99.

7. Lego® Star Wars 40557 Defense of Hoth

Also on the seventh place of the most sold Lego® sets in 2024 is a Star Wars Battle Pack. The defense of Hoth appeared in early 2022 and retired at the end of the same year. The reasons for the popularity and high number of sales can also be explained for this set by the fact that it includes three exclusive minifigures. These are particularly popular with collectors.

8. Lego® Technic 42096 Porsche 911 RSR

The Lego® Technic 42096 Porsche 911 RSR, which has been available for purchase since December 2019, is also among the best-selling Lego sets in 2024. The number of units sold of the Porsche 991 RSR is about 15% lower than that of the Clone Trooper command station, which is in fifth place.

Unlike the Lego sets before it, the Lego Technic Porsche is still available in stores and is expected to retire next year. For this reason, the number of sales is all the more remarkable. The high number of sales can be attributed in part to the popularity of the set. In addition, the Porsche was sometimes available for less than $100 in 2022. Accordingly, a sale at the current time can be potentially lucrative.

9. Lego® 71006 The Simpsons House

In ninth place is a set that has been retired for more than five years. For example, the Lego® 71006 The Simpsons House appeared in stores in February 2014 and left them again in December 2017.

The Simpsons House, which is one of the most sold Lego sets in 2024, is part of the Lego Simpsons theme. However, this has been discontinued and the availability of the sets is correspondingly low and the demand is high.

The Simpsons house set contains six exclusive minifigures and has a current value of about $390. If we refer to the former RRP of $199.99, this corresponds to a value increase of about 95%.

10. Lego® Star Wars 75274 TIE Fighter Pilot Helmet

The Lego® Star Wars 75274 TIE Fighter Pilot Helmet is one of the most lucrative Lego® investments in recent years and therefore also one of the best-selling Lego sets in 2024. However, the set was sold about 65% less than the Mandalorian Forge, which is in first place.

Like the Stormtrooper helmet, the TIE Fighter Pilot helmet is also part of the Star Wars Helmet Collection and is highly sought after by collectors.

In our listing, this is the set that made the most profit when it was sold. When the TIE Fighter Helmet was still available, it could be purchased for an MSRP of $59,99. The current market value is around $290. This corresponds to an increase in value of about 383% or an annual return of more than 144%.

11. Lego® Speed Champions 75895 1974 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0

The Lego® Speed Champions 75895 1974 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0 is another Speed Champions on the list of best-selling Lego sets in 2024.

The set retired in summer 2021 and was available in stores at an RRP of $14.99. However, the set was regularly on sale for just under $11. At the start of 2024, the Porsche already has a market value of $26. Based on the offer price, this corresponds to a very good increase in value of just under 120% and an annual return of around 38%.

Value Increase Porsche 911 Turbo

The increase in value is due to various factors. Firstly, it is one of the last Speed Champions to have a track width of six studs. This makes them ideal for the Lego road plates. Newer Speed Champions have a track width of eight studs.

Secondly, the Porsche 911 is a popular car model that is known worldwide.

12. Lego® Harry Potter 76394 Fawkes, Dumbledore’s Phoenix

The Lego® Harry Potter 76394 Fawkes is the first set from the Harry Potter theme on our list. The Fawkes was released in June 2021 and retired at the end of 2022, so the market life was relatively short at around 1 ½ years. It was sold exclusively by Lego and was therefore rarely available to buy at a discount.

Today, the set already has a market value of around $64, which corresponds to a percentage increase in value of around 60%.

13. Lego® Star Wars 75277 Boba Fett Helmet

One of the best-selling Lego® sets in 2024 is the Lego Star Wars 75277 Boba Fett Helmet, which was released in April 2020 and retired at the end of 2022. In addition to the Stormtrooper and TIE Fighter Pilot helmets already mentioned, the Boba Fett helmet is also part of the Star Wars Helmet Collection. The many sales also reflect the popularity of the series.

The original RRP of the Boba Fett helmet was $59.99. However, the set was on offer for less than $40. The set currently has a market value of just under $74. In relation to the offer price, this corresponds to a percentage increase in value of 85%.

The Lego® Star Wars 75316 Mandalorian Starfighter was released in August 2021 and retired at the end of 2022. The set is the ninth Star Wars set in our listing. This shows the popularity of the theme world among Lego enthusiasts.

The set had an RRP of $69.99 and was rarely on sale due to Lego's exclusive marketing. The set currently has a market value of just over $103. Lego investors have therefore already achieved a percentage increase in value of 47% compared to the RRP.
