How does Brickfact find these Lego deals?
We compare the current prices of the retailers in our price comparison for each set and sort this list by the discount off the RRP, so the biggest reductions come first. The highlighted deals above the list are individual offers that Brickfact has posted in the last twelve days, each with the retailer.
How do you check that a deal is real?
Some of the highlighted deals come from our automated deal check, which runs every hour. It only uses retailer price feeds updated within the last 24 hours, includes known delivery costs (for Amazon it assumes free Prime delivery) and only posts an offer that is at least 15% below the RRP. If at least five Brickfact users have logged buying the set new, in the same currency, in the last 90 days, the offer also has to be at least 10% below the median price they paid; without that history, it has to be at least 25% below the RRP and 5% cheaper than another retailer. Our team posts deals as well. Each set page lists the current prices of the retailers we track, with delivery costs where we know them and the time we retrieved each price. Prices and stock can change at any time, so check the final price at the retailer's checkout before you order.
When is the best time to buy Lego?
No single month is the cheapest for every set, so today's discounts on this page are a better guide than the calendar. The best-known sale is Black Friday week at the end of November; our Lego Black Friday guide has this year's dates. If a set is about to retire, waiting can cost money: in our study of retired sets, the median market value was 22.3% higher twelve months after the retirement month, although almost one in five sets was not higher.
