The 10 biggest Lego® Friends sets ever

🗓 Updated:
📘 Lists

Since 2012, Lego® Friends has moved well beyond small cafés and bedrooms. The theme now includes substantial houses, hotels, shops and shared city spaces, several of them with more than 1,500 pieces. That makes piece count a useful way to see how the range has grown, even though it says nothing about a model's footprint or complexity.

This list covers ten individual retail sets, ordered by their published piece counts. Bundles and accessory packs are not included. Where two sets explore a similar subject, such as a hotel, their separate set numbers and release years make clear which version appears in the ranking.

1. Andrea's Modern Mansion (42639)

Andrea's Modern Mansion was released in 2024 with 2,275 pieces. The four-storey villa has a pool and hot tub outside, while the interior includes bedrooms, a bathroom, music areas and a basement workshop. A working lift joins the floors, and the garage has a mechanism that sends the car rolling out when its door opens.

The set brings together 11 mini-dolls, including grown-up members of the original Friends cast and characters from the newer Heartlake City stories. Its mix of domestic rooms, leisure spaces and music details gives the large model more than a single focal point.

2. Heartlake City Apartments and Stores (42670)

Heartlake City Apartments and Stores entered the range in 2025 with 2,040 pieces. Rather than concentrating on one house, it combines homes and commercial premises in a single streetscape. That mixed-use layout places everyday city life at the centre of the model and gives the façades a different rhythm from Andrea's freestanding villa.

This is one of only three Friends sets in the list to pass 2,000 pieces. Its position also shows how strongly recent urban sets have changed the top of a ranking once led mainly by hotels and amusement attractions.

3. Downtown Flower and Design Stores (41732)

The 2,010-piece Downtown Flower and Design Stores dates from 2023. Several businesses share the build, among them flower and design shops and a coffee bar. The separate shop fronts make it read as a compact section of Heartlake City rather than one oversized interior.

Because the businesses sit side by side, the set can support several stories at once without losing the look of a coherent street. It is the oldest of the three entries above the 2,000-piece mark and remains the largest Friends release from 2023 in this comparison.

4. Main Street Building (41704)

Main Street Building, released in 2022, contains 1,682 pieces. Its town-centre arrangement combines homes with a café, bakery and hair salon. A working lift links the levels, so the tall model is connected vertically as well as through the street at its base.

The varied rooms are more important to the set's character than any single façade. Furniture, plants and small street details distinguish the private and public areas, while the multi-building format leaves scope to rearrange the scene.

5. Heartlake Grand Hotel (41101)

Heartlake Grand Hotel is the oldest set in the top ten. Released in 2015 with 1,552 pieces, the three-storey hotel puts its reception and dining areas downstairs, a guest room above them, and a terrace on the roof. Its outdoor area includes a swimming pool, while Olivia and Stephanie appear among the four mini-dolls.

The model established a hotel format that Friends would revisit in later years: guest spaces, service rooms and outdoor leisure areas share one building. Despite its age, its piece count still keeps it in the upper half of the list.

6. Heartlake City Community Center (41748)

The 2023 Heartlake City Community Center uses 1,513 pieces for a tall collection of shared activity spaces. Unlike the homes and hotels around it in the ranking, the building is organised around things the Heartlake City characters can do together.

Its stacked design separates the activities into clearly readable levels, while the colourful exterior keeps them part of one centre. The subject broadens this top ten beyond private homes, shops and holiday destinations.

7. Garden Restaurant (42691)

Garden Restaurant is a 2026 release with 1,465 pieces. The restaurant subject gives the set a public dining space, while the garden in its name distinguishes it from the more urban shops and apartment blocks higher in the ranking.

At seventh place, it sits between two very different Heartlake City buildings: a community centre and a grand hotel. That variety is typical of the Friends theme, where a similar piece count can be used for a workplace, a home or a leisure setting.

8. Heartlake City Grand Hotel (42704)

The 1,406-piece Heartlake City Grand Hotel was released in 2026. It is a separate model from 2015's Heartlake Grand Hotel (41101), so both appear under their own set numbers. The repeated subject offers a clear snapshot of how Friends returned to a familiar Heartlake City destination more than a decade later.

Its eighth-place position refers only to piece count; it should not be confused with the older 41684 hotel, which has 1,308 pieces and now falls outside this top ten.

9. Beach Amusement Park (41737)

Beach Amusement Park brings a seaside attraction into the ranking. The 2023 set contains 1,348 pieces and uses them for an amusement setting rather than the rooms and façades that dominate much of this list.

Its subject links two recurring Friends ideas, the beach and the fairground, in one location. This gives the finished scene a more open character than the hotels and city buildings immediately above it.

10. Castle Bed and Breakfast (42638)

Castle Bed and Breakfast closes the list with 1,311 pieces. Released in 2024, it turns a castle-like building into guest accommodation, combining the visual language of an older property with the everyday rooms of a small hotel.

The set is only the cutoff for this particular ranking, not a small Friends model in general. Its total is higher than several former top-ten entries, including Heartlake City Grand Hotel (41684), which illustrates how quickly the lower places have changed.

Conclusion

The top ten now ranges from 1,311 to 2,275 pieces. Recent releases occupy much of the list, but the 2015 Heartlake Grand Hotel still holds fifth place. Houses, shops and hotels account for most entries, with the community centre and beach amusement park adding different kinds of Heartlake City scenes.

Piece count is a consistent basis for ordering these sets, but it does not measure floor area, number of rooms or play functions. Those details are better used to choose between models after the numerical ranking has narrowed the field.
