If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide.

  • Improve, personalize, and expand our website
  • Understand and analyze how you use our website
  • Develop new products, services, features, and functionality

Brickfact accounts and the app:

You can use the Brickfact app without signing in. When you first open it, the app creates an anonymous account with Google Firebase Authentication so that it can store your settings and data. To use your collection on several devices and on this website, you can sign in with Google, with Apple or with a sign-in link sent to your email address. Depending on how you sign in, we receive:
  • Sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile picture, and an identifier for your Google account.
  • Sign in with Apple: your name and email address. If you hide your email address, Apple gives us a relay address instead.
  • Sign-in link: your email address. We send the link through our email provider Resend. For sending, we keep the address encrypted and only until the email has been handed over, and our delivery records do not contain it.
We store the following with your account:
  • your profile: email address, nickname, profile picture, region and language, and when you signed up and were last active
  • your collection: the purchases, gifts and sales you record, with prices, dates, condition and notes, and your watchlist and price alerts
  • for push notifications: an identifier for your device, its model and operating system version, a push token from Firebase Cloud Messaging and your notification settings
  • your ratings of deals
We use this data to provide your account and the features you use, for example to sync your collection between the app and the website and to send the notifications you have switched on (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). It is stored with Google Firebase and in the database behind our apps and website. Your collection is private and is not shown to other users.
You can delete your account in the app under Profile > Delete account. This deletes your sign-in account and your profile details. To have all other data linked to your account deleted as well, including your collection, watchlist, price alerts and profile picture, write to [email protected].

Google user data:

If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us, together with an identifier for your Google account, after you agree on Google’s consent screen. Brickfact only asks for this basic profile information. We do not access any other data in your Google account, such as your emails, contacts, calendar or files.
We use this data only to create your Brickfact account, to sign you in on the website and in the apps, to show your name and profile picture in your profile, and to contact you about your account. We store it with Google Firebase together with the rest of your account. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers that host Brickfact for us, or where the law requires it.
We keep this data until you delete your account or ask us to delete it, as described above. You can remove Brickfact’s access to your Google account at any time in your Google account settings.
Brickfact’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Set-page usage analysis

We use self-hosted PostHog on our Hetzner server in Germany to analyse clicks, section visibility and masked interaction recordings on public set pages reached from Google. Collection starts automatically on eligible pages. Recordings are sampled at 20%. We collect browser and device information and a random identifier that resets on a full page load. Inputs and text are masked, account pages are excluded, and recordings are not linked to your Brickfact account. Stored analytics omit IP addresses and URL query strings. A Google-landing flag is stored for the tab; opting out is saved in your browser. You can disable this measurement here without affecting access to the website.
