Best Lego Star Wars sets: our picks for display, play and budget

The best Lego Star Wars set depends on the job you give it: a model for the shelf, a ship a child flies around the living room, or a box full of minifigures. For most people, our pick is the Millennium Falcon 75375: 921 pieces, a stand that holds the ship at an angle, and a footprint of about 24 × 19 cm that fits on a desk or a bookshelf.

Every set we recommend was on sale in Lego's shops in the US, the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain and Italy in mid-October 2026, and none of them is on the retirement forecasts for the end of 2026. Sizes are Lego's own figures, given as "over" a value, so plan a little extra room. Helmets have their own guide, and sets that are about to retire have their own section near the end.

Our overall pick: the midi-scale Millennium Falcon

Millennium Falcon 75375

The Falcon is the ship most people picture when they think of Star Wars, and this is the version that makes sense for a normal room. Lego's figure is over 24 × 19 cm on the shelf and 13 cm in height (9.5 × 7.5 × 5 in). The stand shows it tilted, as if in flight, with a nameplate and a 25th anniversary brick. It belongs to Lego's mid-scale Starship Collection, so it lines up with the Venator further down.

We built the 75375 ourselves, and it is the set we suggest when someone wants one Star Wars model and has no plan to start a collection. Know what you are buying: there are no minifigures, and it is a closed display model, not a ship with a cabin to play in. In October 2026 the list price was $84.99 or £74.99. In Europe and the UK this Falcon has often sold well below that, so compare prices before you pay full price. Our Millennium Falcon 75375 review covers the build and the stand in detail.

The size column is the space the model takes on the furniture: length, then width or depth, then height. For the Death Star the first figure is its width, because it stands upright like a slice. Prices are Lego's list prices in mid-October 2026 and change with sales.

Best Lego Star Wars sets for display

These are the big Ultimate Collector Series models and the Death Star. All are rated 18 and up and built to stand on a shelf, not to be flown around.

Death Star 75419

With 9,023 pieces, the Death Star was the biggest Lego Star Wars set on sale in October 2026. It is a cross-section, not a sphere: the model is over 79 cm wide and 70 cm high but only 27 cm deep (31 × 27.5 × 10.5 in). That shallow depth is why it fits on a sideboard that could never take the Executor. Inside are the trash compactor, Leia's cell, the throne room, the hangar with the Imperial Shuttle and the superlaser, with 36 minifigures and two droid figures.

In October 2026 it was also a $999.99 purchase. Since launch, European retailers have sold it well below Lego's list price at times, so unless you want it now, waiting for a discount is reasonable. Our Death Star 75419 review goes through the scenes and the furniture it needs.

Executor Super Star Destroyer 75457

The Executor came out in October 2026, and Lego calls it the longest brick-built Lego Star Wars model so far: over 136 cm long, 50 cm wide and 20 cm high (53.5 × 20 × 7.5 in). It stands on a built-in stand next to a small Star Destroyer at the same scale, which shows how big Darth Vader's flagship is. A small bridge scene holds Darth Vader and, for the first time in one set, all six bounty hunters from The Empire Strikes Back: Boba Fett, Dengar, Bossk, IG-88, 4-LOM and Zuckuss.

We have not built this one; it is too new, and everything here comes from Lego's figures. The size decides first. You need a surface of at least 1.4 m and about 50 cm deep, which rules out most single shelving bays. In October 2026 the US price was $799.99 and the UK price £649.99.

The Mandalorian's N-1 Starfighter 75442

This is the 2026 Ultimate Collector Series model for people who want the UCS look without a four-figure bill. The silver starfighter from The Mandalorian measures over 67 cm long, 39 cm wide and 21 cm high (26.5 × 15.5 × 8.5 in). The stand holds it either facing forward or side-on, next to the Mandalorian minifigure, a Grogu figure and the information plaque. At $249.99 (October 2026) it costs a quarter of the Death Star and needs a fraction of the space.

Small Star Wars sets for a desk or shelf

If you want more than one ship but not a room full of them, the mid-scale models are the answer. Both of these are rated 18 and up and come with a stand and nameplate.

Venator-Class Attack Cruiser 75441

The Venator from Revenge of the Sith measures over 31 cm long, 16 cm wide and 15 cm high (12 × 6 × 6 in). Lift off the top section and the hangar bay is underneath. It is part of the same mid-scale series as the Falcon 75375, so the two look right next to each other. As of October 2026, the large 5,374-piece Venator 75367 is expected to retire at the end of 2026; our UCS Venator review explains what that set offers if you want the big one while it lasts.

AT-AT 75440

At $64.99 in October 2026, this is the cheapest adult display set in this guide. The 525 pieces make a mid-scale AT-AT and a snowspeeder in flight, its tow cable wrapped around the walker's legs as in the Battle of Hoth. It measures over 19 cm long, 11 cm wide and 17 cm high (7.5 × 4.5 × 6.5 in), so it fits on almost any desk. Pick it as a gift for an adult fan, or as a second model next to the Falcon.

Best Lego Star Wars ships for playing

These sets have shooters, opening sections and minifigures, and they are made to be picked up. They also look good on a shelf between missions.

Imperial Star Destroyer 75394

The Star Destroyer is the big play ship here: over 46 cm long, 29 cm deep and 16 cm high (18 × 11 × 6 in). A hidden handle folds out so a child can carry it in flight, and it has two spring-loaded shooters. Lift the top panel and fold out the sides to reach the bridge, command room, break room and armory. Seven minifigures come with it, among them Darth Vader, Commander Praji and Cal Kestis. Measure the shelf before you buy, though: it needs 46 cm of length.

The Razor Crest 75447

The 2026 Razor Crest comes in the new colour scheme from The Mandalorian and Grogu. It measures over 32 cm long, 24 cm wide and 13 cm high (12.5 × 9.5 × 5 in). The cockpit takes two minifigures and Grogu, the side panels open to the engine and cargo hold, and the landing ramps fold down. Four minifigures (the Mandalorian, Colonel Ward, Zeb Orrelios and an Imperial Remnant Stormtrooper) and the Grogu figure are included. Collectors who want the large display version should read our UCS Razor Crest 75331 review; this one is the play set.

Imperial Lambda-Class Shuttle 75459

The Lambda shuttle from The Mandalorian season 2 is rated 14 and up, so it suits older children and adults who still play. Fold the wings down for flight and two spring-loaded shooters come into play; on landing the gear comes down and the ramp opens. The pilot sits in the cockpit, and the other four minifigures, among them the Mandalorian, Moff Gideon and the first Lego Dr. Pershing, ride in the passenger compartment. In flight mode it is over 33 cm high and 36 cm wide (13 × 14.5 in), so it needs height on the shelf rather than length.

Lego Star Wars sets for younger kids and small budgets

AT-RT Attack 75444

For a seven-year-old, a big ship is often too much. The AT-RT Attack has a posable walker with a stud shooter and a defence tower with a turning turret and its own shooter, and the base opens for a weapon rack. The Mandalorian, Grogu and an Imperial Remnant driver come with it. The walker is over 12 cm high, so the set takes little room when the game is over.

For an even smaller budget, the Siege of Mandalore Battle Pack 75449 has four minifigures and a speeder for $22.99 (£17.99) as of October 2026, rated 6 and up.

As of October 2026, the SMART Play sets with Lego's light-and-sound SMART Brick are sold in the US and the UK (and in Germany, France, Poland and Australia). When we tried them, the sounds were synthesized tones that only hint at voices, not recordings from the films. They did get a child who normally builds a set and puts it away to play with it for much longer. Factor in the higher price: much of it pays for the brick.

Most minifigures for your money

327th Star Corps Clone Troopers Battle Pack 75431

Battle Packs are still the cheapest way to build up an army. This one has four 327th Star Corps clone troopers, three super battle droid figures, an AT-RT walker, a spider droid and a stud-shooter turret. At the October 2026 price of $44.99 that comes to about $6.40 per figure, or about £5 at the UK price. The Siege of Mandalore pack above works out cheaper per figure, with fewer figures in the box.

The Death Star has the most figures in a single box with 38, but at about $26 per figure (October 2026 price), the reason to buy it is the scenes. If you want to know which packs held their value over the years, our Star Wars Battle Pack investment guide covers that, and our list of the most expensive Lego Star Wars minifigures shows which figures became valuable.

Sets to buy before they retire

As of October 2026, four large sets are expected to retire at the end of 2026: the UCS Millennium Falcon 75192, the UCS Venator 75367, Jabba's Sail Barge 75397 and the TIE Interceptor 75382. They are not in our list because they will soon be hard to find at list price, and the Venator and the Sail Barge were already sold out in Lego's US shop in mid-October 2026. If one of them is the set you have wanted for years, decide now. Our Jabba's Sail Barge review and the UCS Venator review help with that, and our list of the biggest Lego Star Wars sets puts them in context.
