Floating Boats from Lego® Duplo

With floatable ships from Lego® Duplo, toddlers aged 2 and older experience exciting sea adventures and learn about how ships work and their buoyancy. Many kits include fish and water plants. With the help of these, the little sailors learn about the species-appropriate handling of living creatures from the underwater world. Best of all, floatable Lego Duplo boats can be used both on land and in the water, offering double the fun. The "Floats" marking on the packaging indicates whether the Lego Duplo is floatable or not. Alternatively, it is possible to see which Lego Duplo ships are floatable on the Lego Online Customer Service page.

The selection of floatable Lego Duplo ships is considerable. In addition to ships that sail on the water, there are submarines with which the underwater world can be explored. Lego Duplo submarines have details such as a propeller, by means of which the propulsive force can be discovered. If the Lego Duplo ship is used in the bathtub, for example, it gives off air bubbles when moving. In addition, the kits also include minifigures, water plants, fish and diving equipment. With the water plants and fish, you can create your own underwater world, which can be discovered with the accompanying minifigures. As in nature, the Lego Duplo fish give off air bubbles.

Floating Boats from Lego® Technic

Older children from the age of 7, teenagers and adults learn about the workings of propellers or sails with floatable Lego® Technic ships. Which Lego Technic ships are floatable can be found either on the packaging or on the Lego Online Customer Service page

The catamaran is an example of a floating Lego Technic ship. With this, young people and adults learn about the forces of pull and suction and experience the buoyancy force in a live experiment. Furthermore, the position of the sails can be changed and consequently the direction of travel itself can be influenced.

Many Lego Technic sets come with alternative building instructions that can be used to convert the set. For example, the floating catamaran can be converted into a racing boat.
