You can find out which Lego sets are worth investing in under €100 in the following investment analyses.

1.Lego® Harry Potter™ 75980 Attack on the Burrow

The Lego® Harry Potter sets fascinate young and old. Since the first Harry Potter films were shown in cinemas, the Danish toy manufacturer has been cooperating with the film studio.  The fan base for the films is huge and so is the demand for matching Lego sets that pick up on the theme world. The 75980 Attack on the Burrow was released in June 2020 and is expected to go EOL during 2022.

Burrow as a Lego® investment

The 75980 Attack on the Burrow is a play set that appeals primarily to children, but also to adult fans of the Harry Potter film series. With a part out value of just under 220€, the set is available at a fair RRP. Typical for a licensed set, the average part price is relatively high. From an investment point of view, the minifigures included in the set are one of the most important selling points. According to the Lego marketplace Bricklink, the minifigures are currently worth about 50€, which is ½ of the RRP and a solid value.

Due to the exclusive minifigures and the very good key data of the 75980 Attack on the Burrow, we expect a very good performance after EOL. However, it is important to note that there is a risk of the minifigures in the set being reissued or appearing in other sets. Such a case would probably reduce the value of the foxhole.

Attack on the Burrow is now rarely available for purchase below RRP. Prices are already rising, which suggests that the EOL date is approaching. Buying below RRP is possible e.g. directly at Lego.com in combination with Lego® VIP points and GWPs.

2. Lego® Star Wars™ 75296 Darth Vader™ Meditation Chamber

In addition to the Harry Potter film series, a Lego® set from the Star Wars saga is not to be missed. The Darth Vader Meditation Chamber entered the market in August 2021 and will leave it again in the course of 2022. From an investment point of view, the short market life can be seen as very positive.

Valuable minifigures

The 75296 Darth Vader Meditation Chamber is a D2C (Direct to Customer) set. For this reason, it is rarely available below RRP. Apart from Lego itself, the set is only distributed by a few exclusive partners such as Galeria. The Darth Vader Meditation Chamber has very good key data. The parts price of 10.56 ct/part is high, but this can be attributed to the Star Wars licence. However, this is a positive investment. The part out value is good in relation to the RRP. The 2 minifigures included in the set deserve special mention. According to Bricklink, both are worth over €50, which is more than ⅔ of the RRP. With its 18+ marketing, Lego is mainly addressing AFOLs (Adult Fans of Lego) and collectors. This is a positive development from an investment point of view, as this target group is considered to be particularly strong buyers.

The Darth Vader Meditation Chamber is the first set of its kind. Unofficially, it is the start of the Diorama Collection, in which various film scenes from the Star Wars saga are depicted in miniature. The diorama sets have plates on which the scenes are built.

Due to its exclusive marketing, the Star Wars 75296 Darth Vader Meditation Chamber is rarely available below RRP. With the combination of VIP points and GWPs you can still get a good discount.

3. Lego® Ideas 21321 International Space Station

Lego® space sets enjoy great popularity and are extremely interesting for adults and collectors. Matching sets are available in some themes. The 21321 International Space Station was released in early 2020 and is expected to go EOL in 2022. The Ideas theme appeals separately to AFOLs and is therefore well suited for investments.

Popular space series delivers investment potential

The average parts price of the ISS space station is pleasantly low and the POV of over 150€ is good in relation to the RRP. Minifigures are not included in the set, but they would be interesting from an investment point of view. The detailed design of the kit is reminiscent of the original space station. The ISS space station is very suitable as an investment for the year 2022, as it completes the space theme. For Lego fans who want to recreate space history in miniature, the ISS is very suitable. A similar set already existed with the Lego® Ideas 21309 NASA Apollo Saturn V, after EOL it increased in price significantly. However, it was reissued a short time later, which shows that the demand for space sets is high.

With EOL approaching, don't wait too long to buy. Brickfact price comparison allows you to buy Lego sets at the best price and choose from a wide selection of suppliers.

4. Lego® Marvel Super Heroes 76199 Carnage

The Lego® Star Wars Helmet Collection has proven that helmets can have a very good performance. The first models in the series have risen sharply in price. The Marvel Super Heroes 76199 Carnage is a part-exclusive helmet in the Marvel series. It is the first model of its kind and was released in May 2021.

Lego® Helmets with good value appreciation

The part out value and the average part price of the 76199 Carnage are only moderate. The Marvel licence is a positive feature. The films of the Marvel series have a large fan community and are known worldwide. The Carnage helmet is part-exclusively distributed by Lego.com and Müller. The greatest potential of this Lego set lies in its exclusivity and short time to market. The past has shown that part-exclusive helmets can increase in value very well. This was most recently the case with the Lego Star Wars Helmet Collection with the TIE Fighter Pilot Helmet. After End of Life, the price of this helmet rose sharply and, according to Brickfact, it now has a market value of over €140. Such a performance is not very likely for the 76199 Carnage , but it is not impossible either. Nevertheless, we assume a good performance.

5. Lego® Jurassic World™ 76941 Carnotaurus Dinosaur Chase

Lego® Jurassic World theme sets are extremely popular with movie fans and children alike. The 76941 Carnotaurus Dinosaur Chase set was released in late summer 2021 and will most likely leave stores in 2022.

Carnotaurus Dinosaur Chase as an investment

The key data of the 76941 Carnotaurus Dinosaur Chase set can be rated as mediocre. From an investment point of view, the minifigures included in the set are interesting, 2 of which are exclusive. According to Bricklink, the minifigures alone account for approx. ½ of the RRP of €49.99. The Carnotaurus is included in the kit as a highlight. The previous set75929 Carnotaurus Gyrosphere Escape proved that Lego dinosaurs are very popular. It was on sale for less than 50€ and today it has a market value of just under 105€; according to Bricklink, the dinosaur alone is worth over 30€. The dino in the current set is already worth 23€.

On offer, the Pursuit of the 76941 Carnotaurus Dinosaur Chase can still be bought cheaply at good prices under 40€. With a purchase price at this level, the Jurassic World set is very well suited for a Lego investment.
